A progressive bodywork program designed to bring your body into better balance, ease, and alignment. Each appointment has a unique focus, and together they build on one another to create lasting change.
This work addresses restrictions in the body’s connective tissue (fascia), helping re-educate the body toward more efficient, energy-sustaining movement patterns and a more balanced structure within the gravitational field.
IRM 12-SERIES
A ROAD MAP OF WHAT TO EXPECT:
THE SUPERFICIAL SESSIONS
SESSION 1 — Lift the Superficial Front Line and open the two Front Arm Lines.
This session introduces deeper, more direct fascial work while opening the front of the body to support fuller breathing. As the superficial tissues of the front line and upper arms begin to lift and expand, protective holding patterns can soften, allowing the body to feel more open, supported, and at ease.
SESSION 2 — Ground the Superficial Back Line and open the Back Arm Lines.
This session focuses on working more deeply with the dense fascia of the posterior body to improve grounding and support through the legs and feet. As the back line begins to release and lengthen, the primary and secondary spinal curves can find greater balance, helping the body feel more stable, upright, and supported.
SESSION 3 — Open the Lateral Line and balance the shoulders onto it.
This session focuses on opening the sides of the body to support fuller, more expansive breathing. By working with the lateral core and the body’s stabilizing system, the ribs, spine, and pelvis can find better balance, creating a greater sense of support and spaciousness through the torso.
SESSION 4 — Balance the double helix of the Spiral Lines, this includes the sling under the arch of the foot and the scapular position relative to the head and ribs. (Personally, this is my favorite session. It seems to be one of the most needed myofascial line alignments for so many of my clients).
This session focuses on easing superficial rotational patterns while balancing the supportive “sling” relationships around the scapula and beneath the foot arches. As these outer sleeve layers organize, the body can move with greater coordination and stability from top to bottom.
THE DEEP SESSIONS
SESSION 5 — Open the lower portion of the Deep Front Line. This runs from the inner arch up through and around the pelvis and viscera to the jaw.
This session focuses on building support through the inner leg by opening and balancing the adductor compartment. As tension patterns in the inner legs begin to release, the pelvis can find more freedom and stability from below, allowing for smoother and more coordinated movement.
SESSION 6 — Open the trunk portion of the Deep Front Line. Think Psoas, Diaphram, and Abdominal myofascia.
Outcome Goals: This session focuses on creating support and ease through the lumbar spine by balancing the psoas, diaphragm, and pelvic floor. As these deeper core relationships begin to organize, breathing often becomes fuller and more effortless, helping the body feel more supported from the inside out.
SESSION 7 — Open the Deep Back Line. The deep lateral rotators are key to this session.
This session focuses on organizing the bony support along the back of the body while freeing the intrinsic motion of the sacrum. As these structures begin to move more naturally, spinal bending and rotation can feel smoother, more supported, and less restricted.
SESSION 8 — Open the neck and head portions of the Deep Front and Deep Back Lines
This session focuses on aligning the head more comfortably atop the body by balancing the jaw, face, and neck. As these structures begin to organize, the neck becomes a key pathway for integration between the head and the rest of the body, supporting more ease and coordination overall.
THE INTEGRATION SESSIONS
The Integration Sessions are where everything comes together. Here, we calibrate and coordinate the 12 myofascial meridians, moving progressively up the body:
SESSION 9 — The pelvis and legs.
SESSION 10 — The torso and breath enhancement.
SESSION 11 — The shoulders and arms.
SESSION 12 — The spine and neck relating out to the whole body.
FAQs
-
Most clients come every 1-2 weeks during the series. This allows your body time to adjust and integrate changes without losing momentum. Once you’ve completed the series, many people choose to come back for maintenance sessions every month or seasonally, depending on their lifestyle and goals.
-
Each session is hands-on and tailored to your body’s needs. While we follow the overall series plan, your unique posture, movement patterns, and goals help guide the work. Many clients notice changes not just in how their body feels, but also in how they move, breathe, and carry themselves.
-
Most people describe the work as a deep, stretching pressure. At times it can feel like a strong release or “good tension,” similar to yoga or a deep stretch. Some areas may feel more intense than others, especially where the fascia is tight.
